I was born in Detroit and I’m excited to return. In 2005 my company performed at MoCAD (Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit) This time we’ll be at the Detroit Institute of Arts participating in Dance City Festival. Life Traveler is an interactive piece usually performed on bridges. This time we’ll be on the steps of the
Since 2018, Life Traveler has traveled to Tokyo, Munich, London, Düsseldorf, Minneapolis, Amsterdam, NYC, Philadelphia, Portland Oregon, Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt. I’ll be performing solo this time on the steps of the Detroit Institute of Art. Life Traveler’s theatricality lies in its simplicity. The dancers, with interactive conversation, both physically and verbally, “wake up” the present moment. Those passing by become a part of an enhanced moving experience.
Story Time is a stand alone 5 minute film made in collaboration with Nate Reininga, camera and editing. Stories through time try to make sense of the harshness of reality where good and evil, bullies and helpers live.
