Queens world FILm festival

And Then, Now has been selected to screen at the Queens World Film Festival located at the Museum of the Moving Image and Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens, New York. The work was choreographed by Jody Oberfelder, with camera and editing by Nate Reininga. This site-specific work is inspired by Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery, an historic site where the echoes of the past can have tangible connections to and impact on our present.

“Creating films, I am inspired to bring the viewer in close, allowing the medium to breath with life, and forage sensorial moments beyond words,” Oberfelder stated.

Catch the work at KAS Zukor Theatre at 3:45pm on Friday, November 14th. Get your tickets here.

NZ Indie Film Festival 2025

And Then, Now has been selected to screen at the NZ Indie Film Festival! The film was premiered in May 2024. Guided by the visionary choreography of Jody Oberfelder and the enchanting musical repertoire of Glass Clouds Ensemble, And Then, Now invites participants on a transformative journey through Green-Wood's verdant springtime landscape and its permanent art and sculpture.

With the profound power of resilience at its core and the interconnectedness of past, present, self, and surroundings, three dancers and three musicians act as guides, leading attendees through the cemetery's winding paths. As participants travel onward, they encounter site-specific performances at key architectural landmarks, each moment reflecting the diverse and storied history of Green-Wood.
