Life Traveler is an interactive piece performed on bridges. Since 2018, we have traveled to Tokyo, Munich, London, Düsseldorf, Minneapolis, Amsterdam, NYC, Philadelphia, Portland, Berlin, and Frankfurt. Dancers tote and dance with vintage suitcases, passing one along to someone crossing the bridge and we travel together. In this moment, we offer an invitation to contemplate the present moment, age, history, and journey. The goal is to give the audience a one-on-one embodied experience, connecting with the space around you to notice the ordinary and extraordinary in the midst of traveling through our lives: a chance to pause and reflect on presence while traversing a bridge.

And Then, Now has been selected to be a part of the 2025 Bridgeport Film Festival!
The film was premiered in May 2024. Guided by the visionary choreography of Jody Oberfelder and the enchanting musical repertoire of Glass Clouds Ensemble, And Then, Now invites participants on a transformative journey through Green-Wood's verdant springtime landscape and its permanent art and sculpture.
With the profound power of resilience at its core and the interconnectedness of past, present, self, and surroundings, three dancers and three musicians act as guides, leading attendees through the cemetery's winding paths. As participants travel onward, they encounter site-specific performances at key architectural landmarks, each moment reflecting the diverse and storied history of Green-Wood.

Weill Cornell Medicine Human Experience Seminar
Jody Oberfelder will be speaking on the panel curated by Dr. Sonia Blum. Oberfelder alongside Ayo Janeen Jackson join this event bringing together artists, patients, and integrative health practitioners in an immersive, co-creative seminar. Our aim is to imagine and prototype new models for human-scale, emotionally resonant care—a vortex of possibility that spans science, story, and spirit.
