Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects at APAP

Friday, January 6 from 1:15-2PM, don’t miss the open rehearsal for THROB. Excerpts from the work in progress will be shown at 115 Wooster Street (buzzer 2 F) between Prince and Spring Street, doors open at 1PM. Informed by conversations with cardiologist Dr. Holly Andersen, THROB is a conceptual yet very physical work inspired by our creative imagining of the biological workings of the heart. The premiere of THROB will be March 1-3, 2012 at Abrons Arts Center.

On Sunday, January 8 from 12:45-1PM and 2:15-2:30PM, catch excerpts from SOLDIER’S TALE. This 50 minute work, with music by Igor Stravinsky premiered in New York this past June with live music by the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra. It is a spectacle piece complete with a Narrator, aerial work, and animated graphics.
SOLDIER’S TALE will be shown at Alvin Ailey, Studio 5A 405 West 55th Street, with Construction Company. Click here for more details
